The contradiction between curvilinear and rectilinear line is one of my favorite things to capture. The softness of the watercolor, juxtaposed with the harsh solid lines of the stripes, join together to create a bold statement. I will always have a soft spot for black and white stripes - and the addition of plants is just the cherry on top.
